Harris
Art Glass was formed in 1979 by Mary Harris. When she moved to her home
in Helena, Mary first supplied stained glass, as well as restoration work,
to local shops, churches, and community charity organizations.
Harris Art Glass will create an original design of almost anything. Mary
Harris has a "true to life" style and specializes in wildlife
and animals. She has been a featured artist at the Annual Art Walk in
Helena, Montana since 1990. Mary's piece "Spring Meadow", depicting
twelve horses in a meadow scene has been in numerous shows including the
"Electrum" which is a juried art show for the western United
States region.
One of Mary's most exciting new works is that of glass tiles! A unique
process makes these tiles perfect for walls and tables and are anything
but square. This original concept is in such demand, that she has a hard
time keeping up with available pieces. Her tables are stunning works of
art, that are functional as well as beautiful! Two years ago, Mary was
invited to write an article in Glass Craftsman magazine. Since then, many
people have adapted this distinctive mosaic form.
Harris Art Glass now offers custom works to homes and businesses all over
the United States.
